Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen (born 6 May 1964) is a Danish actor. He was in the role of Troels Hartmann (Copenhagen mayoral election candidate) in The Killing and [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen (third series of Sherlock) as well as the Russian president Viktor Petrov on Netflix's American House of Cards, and Grand Admiral Thrawn from Star Wars Rebels. In 2011, he took home the Reumert Prize of Honour At at the age of 27 He enrolled in the National Theatre School of Denmark from where he was graduated in the year 1995. He was also a part of The Killing's drama. Then, he played in Borgen III and Those Who Kill and Those Who Kill, both critically popular Danish drama series. He was the President of Russia in an episode of the BBC drama Sherlock. He was awarded an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his role in Danish TV drama Herrens Veje. It was aired in the UK in 2019 as Ride Upon the Storm
